Insert PictuAnimated Gif Issue
If you insert the GIFs via the respective editor toolbar button it will work properly in such a way that the animated image is displayed properly in the final message.[...]
I'm inserting via toolbar, does that mean that preview might look wrong but once delivered will look fine?

Also, last gif I posted crashes Pmail.

I usually don't like embedding media in messages that way, but sometimes it's way easier when needed to write a piece of information, insert the picture, some more information, another picture and so forth.

This round I ended up doing this in another client, it's a shame though as I'm trying to move to Pmail completely.

I'm experiencing issue with animated gif.

I'm trying to insert them, sometimes Pmail crashes, in other cases gif compression is not properly interpreted as colors are messed up.

Anyone else with the same problem?

Try  using this link to my website, the gif is animated <img src="http://www3.telus.net/public/irelam/AGif2.gif">

That works but gif images are compressed differently.

Save the following images locally and then import them into Pmail.

Try this one:

As soon as the woman gets off the car image will look noisy.

With this one Pmail crashes:

If you insert the GIFs via the respective editor toolbar button it will work properly in such a way that the animated image is displayed properly in the final message. Using drag and drop or the editor's context menu command won't do, animation will be lost. The reason for this appears to be the conversion to PNG which destroys the animation (although an animated PNG format exists). And I can duplicate the crash.

Please don't ask why, I have no idea about any of this, but I'm pretty sure nobody ever tested inserting animated GIFs before, otherwise we would have known. For know the safest way appears to be sending as attachment.
