Under folder options " Sort in reverse order" always remains when opening mail and I need to go there and uncheck. Once done it's okay until I close Pegasus. When I open again all old messages appear and I have to do same thing over and over. I thought I tried everything especially on a re-boot. I even went to the tools section options and under basic settings made sure the box was checked where it said "save the Pegasus Mail desktop between sessions but still is driving me nuts! Any other suggestions?

See if the option "Remember and apply each folder's sorting mode separately" is enabled.  It is located in Tools | Options | Incoming mail | Preview mode settings.  I don't know whether this setting has any affect when in List mode but it affects sort mode so seems worth looking into.

Also, if you are running the main Pegasus Mail window maximized try restoring it down and then changing your sorting preference.  Restart Pegasus Mail (while not maximized) and see if the sort option stuck.
