POP3 & IMAP Comcast requirements

Moving and will be using Comcast for email/web/phone access. They don't recommend using POP3 to get email. Their exact words: POP Access

"Using POP to retrieve e-mail will cause a less-than-optimal experience, especially when you use multiple devices to check your email. We strongly recommend IMAP over POP since this will keep your emails in sync across different devices. If you do need to use POP due to any reason, you can use the following connection information:  To prevent spam and to ensure the security of our network and customers, Comcast no longer supports the use of port 25 for sending email."

They provide recommended incoming mail server and outgoing mail server names.

Looking for advice how to configure pegasus to send and read emails once my more is completed. Advice?

If you aren't going to access mail from multiple devices my suggestion is to stick with POP3 if they provide POP3 access.  Otherwise you configure an IMAP profile in Pegasus Mail (Tools > IMAP Profiles) as per their instructions.

Difference between POP3 and IMAP is that POP3 downloads the mail and can be configured to delete the mail on the server once retrieved whereas IMAP only accesses mail on the Comcast server.  Any device with IMAP capable software and an internet connection can be configured to access that same mail.
