Shutting down Mercury resulst in corrupt HIERARCH.PM

Hi Konrad,

we have a similar setup, Thunderbird and IMAP. Some users have the habit of having Thunderbird open the whole day. Thunderbird has the habit to keep one connection open for each IMAP account.

I am not sure if I shut down Mercury while IMAP connections were open but I think I did several times. I never experienced problems regarding the HIRARCH.PM files.

The only problem I see sometimes is a message "IMAP folder is blocked by another user". The number of simultaneous IMAP connections should not be limited.

 Regards, Bernward

Hi All,

We do use IMAP and Thunderbird as our "regular" setup. We also have lots of users so there is always at least one user on-line. This makes it hard to find a slot where I can maintain Mercury (shut it down for whatever reason). I found out that if I shut down Mercury while there are still users on-line using IMAP, the HIERARCH.PM file for those users gets messed up. With this, those users loose there folder structure (-> Thunderbird re-structures all folders flat under the inbox).

According to David, this should not occur so I wanted to know if anybody else has ever experienced something like this?

Thanks

Konrad
