Changing default font for outgoing messagees

Using 4.7 ver. Appears the default font is Ariel 10 pt. How can I change this permanently?

With a message open for edit hit the blue f on toolbar or use reader menu and font. That sets your editor default font and also becomes default for HTML messages as well as signature editor. Tp set tjhe message Reader do same while reading plain text message using font from the message menu.

Default font and size are set within the configuration menu of the IERenderer if you are using that. Default Reader font and color for HTML if using BearHTML is set within the .ini file.
