I see similar behavior in some messages depending on the view mode I am using. If viewing the HTML part (view set to 'fancy") the message is displayed fine but if viewing the text part (view set to 'plain') then some paragraph breaks and line breaks are lost. The "View" icon in of the message reader window toggles between plain
and fancy views whenever both are included in the message.
You can also use the preview pane in the attachment tab to view the plain text content and the HTML content (Preview needs to be enabled).
If you identify this as the problem, Pegasus Mail has a setting that enables viewing the fancy view (HTML) by default. That setting is in Tools > Options > Incoming mail > Message reader. It is called "Where a choice exists, display the fancy version".
I don't have an explanation as to why some HTML content behaves this way and other does not.
BTW, the recipient of such a message should see it just fine if they are viewing the HTML version which most email clients do by default.
