Hello Support Team

I am using Mercury V4.52 and I would like to write a special rule for sending all e-mail for a specific user with a local domain name to the outside network (using MercuryS)

For example a Rule like this: If header To is "ThisUser@MyLocalDomainName.com" => send it to the external network

For the moment the domain "MyLocalDomainName" is declared into "Mercury Core Module"|Local Domains and it is not possible.....

I would like to write this rule because my server is a connected to another server using a POP3 account and the user "ThisUser" has his mailbox on this server.

Thank you by advance for  your answer

I may have misunderstood what you want to do here, but if the idea is to redirect all incoming messages for a specific local address to an external address you could replace the local mailbox with an alias.

Yes but in my specific case the external adress has the same domain. Is there a way to explain to mercury that for a specific user the mail must go to to the external network? (and sent to MercuryC)

The only way I can think of to redirect delivery of only one mailbox within a domain to another server handling the same domain would be to replace the domain name with the IP address of the external server (in an alias, or in a forwarding rule)  i.e. mailbox@[111.222.333.444]. If the receiving server runs Mercury and [111.222.333.444] is listed as a local domain this should work, if not it depends on if the server will identify the correct mailbox without specified domain name.

A workaround could otherwise be to use an intermediate account somewhere (for instance on some reliable free webmail service), and have that account forward all incoming mail to the external server.
