pmail as IMAP client folder moving

Hello,

sorry for asking again, but does anybody using IMAP with PMAIL does not see this behaviour? Or is my expectation wrong? Or this behaviour known?

I tested again with a different IMAP Server from a provider and can confirm the above mentioned behaviour. And I want to add Point 4 (in the original message above)

Thank you

Tobias

Hello, I moved my local Pmail folders to an IMAP Server with this method:

http://community.pmail.com/forums/post/15833.aspx

which worked well. While working with the IMAP Folders especially using autofiltering I found several points with strange behaviour:

  1. Can not move Folder: There is a single hierachy level: On top there are around 10 folders(filing trays, only containig folders no messages) containig folders with messages (no deeper hierachy, all folders inside are folders with the icon folder+letter). If I move a folder from tray to tray, it is moved as expected. I can put mails in and out, but the "Folder Information..." still shows the old position (eg oldtray.folder instead of newtray.folder). When I disconnect and reconnect to the IMAP server the folder is at the first place, as if no move took place, but the contents (added mail) is not undone. I tried with a different IMAP client and it is able to move the folders permanently. The IMAP server is dovecot.
  2. unread Mail in a folder make the top-level green, but not the folder containing the mail, I have to seach for the numbers. My former setup with local folders highligted both: the tray and the folder
  3. "urgent" messages in an IMAP folder are displayed red and always on top and I can not change them to not-urgent, what was possible with local folders in the context-menu (F12)
  4. Annotation are saved locally: If I annotate a message on one PC in

the IMAP folder, it does show up there, but not on another PC when I

    connct to IMAP

Point 1 is the most important, but it would be nice to have 2. and 3. features also in IMAP.

Do you have an idea what I could do to fix this?

Thank you in advance,

Tobias

PS: pmail 4.7 on Win 8.1 and Win 7

PPS: To 1): I observed the TCP logs (-Z 32) option and when I move a folder Pmail does not generate TCP Traffic
