MultiPOP Periodic vs At a set time

At a set time means a particular time of day. Periodically means checking after a set time has elapsed since the last check.

However as far as I am aware this extension is no longer supported and might not be functional.

I have been trying to test which setting is best on the MultiPOP settings for the:

Connect to this host ...

Periodically or At a set time ...

I want to connect every 2 minutes, but I am not getting this to work right.

So if I want to set how often the connection should happen, do I want Periodically 2 or At a set time 2?

The problem I am having is that I seem to have to manually connect to get my email each time. And I know this is not correct, it should be doing it on its own.
