Hi
I have been using Pegasus mail for a long time and generally love it
This last few months however I have begun to mysteriously experience
some, different, odd issues. I am able to restart again and no harm but it
is annoying
For some time I have experienced frequent crashes when opening an email to view and, researching,
this does seem to be email sender-specific, that is, most emails from a particular sender now crash Pegasus (everything was fine until about
a year ago, I have not changed anything, I have even reloaded my XP a couple of times and it still breaks).
I subscribe to numerous jobboards and receive many postings each day from the
different sources and specific ones consistently crash if I open them up
and I am forced to read the content by webmail, and ot locally after download
Is there something in the latest email formats that Pegasus is not'
handling, perhaps in certain circumstnces?
Secondly, using Pegasus on a particular system is giving problems (unfortunately my
portable laptop (which I rely on daily to collect emails on the go)
gets the emails to the new mail folder ok, but has stopped enabling
me to"move" or "copy" emails to other folders. On clicking move or copy
it now beeps and hangs Pegasus, forcing a restart
The laptop has XP. I use 2 or 3 computers and when I use the same Pegasus version on the
desktop (which has later Windows 7) it works fine, so now I have to wait to move/archive till
I get to my work!
It used to work just fine on XP, and I could move emails as I wished, so I don't understand what has changed
I use version 4.6 and just to see last week I installed 4.7 - less crashes
but still can't move emails when using XP, same behaviour on that issue
I do have a lot of emails stored in the folders (5-10 years worth now)
- is that significant with the moving issue, do you think?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rob B
