Hi
We have recently changed our domain name. We use synonyms to map firstname.lastname@domain.org. The synonym file has have entries such as:
green.man@domain1.com == gnman
When preparing for the change I set up new accounts to be used with the new domain and added these to the synonym file:
green.man@domain2.com == gnman-2
This works fine.
Before the domain name change took place yesterday I copied the contents of all the accounts from domain1 into the newly created accounts for domain2. This has been fine, too.
I also set up global mail filtering rules which take the form of:
Headers - if mail arrives addressed To: or Cc: green.man@domain1.com forward to gnman-2
This has been working for the most part but there are instances where the odd message that has been addressed to staff accounts @domain1.com has not been forwarded to the newly created accounts the same staff use for domain2.com
Do I need to add extra rules? I've looked at these messages which are not being forwarded but cannot see anything that would indicate why they are bypassing the rule set. I've just had a thought - there are other rules in place, do I need to move them to the top of the rule list, perhaps? I'm not at work at the moment but will check to see if there are other rules that could be affecting this.
Otherwise, am I doing this correctly?
Any and all suggestions welcome.
Thanks
