Steffan, looks like a good idea but I've already completed the migration using caisson's method.

Eudora OSE IS built on Thunderbird. I just wish there'd been ongoing support, but nothing beyond the initial release ever came out.

Okay, I promise I've spent HOURS trying to solve this. I did get the address book data, but I can't find a way to get the mailboxes.

All the utilities I've looked at expect .mbx files and E-OSE does NOT make those. It makes .sbd subdirectories for folders with subfolders, and the mail is in foldername(notype) and apparently indexed by foldername.msf. This setup is not recognized by anything I've found so far.

I installed Mail System Converter by Dragon but it doesn't recognize these mailboxes.E-OSE did have an export function for the address books, but none for the mail. Website is accessed when Help is selected and userdoc does not exist yet; apparently no forums either.

One way, probably the easiest depending on how much mail is involved, is to set up an IMAP account and move the mail onto the IMAP servers, then access from Pmail.

Don't know how to set up an IMAP account. Do I do that locally (on my machine) or do I need a provider?

IMAP is a more complex alternative to POP3 for mail collection. I know nothing about Eudora but presume it is IMAP capable.

If your current email provider does not offer IMAP you can sign up for a free IMAP supported email account from providers such as Gmai, GMX and Zoho.

Set up the account alongside your existing email account in Eudora so that your local and IMAP folders are accessible to each other and you can move your messages from one to the other.

Then do the same in Pmail.

I believe Eudora OSE is similar to Thunderbird, isn't it (given that you mention .msf files)? What you could try (I just tested it and it works for me) is copy a Eudora mail folder (not the index folder, so not the msf file)  to the Pegasus MAIL folder and add the extension .mbx to the mail folder's name. When I did that, Pegasus recognised the folder with the mail messages. After doing that, create another mail folder in Pegasus and copy all the messages from the mbx folder to the Pegasus mail folder you just created. Hope this helps.
