Switched from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 PC - cannot post copied text into reply email without the html.

I just switched to a newer PC - from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 PC - cannot post copied text into reply email without the html.

This is with the newest release of 4.8 1028. On the old PC, if I copied text from a website and pasted it into a reply email, it was pasted in plain text - not weird segments of html blocks.

I cant show you the page that I'm copying from, because it's a proprietary database, but I've been using it for years and things only changed when i switched PC's.

If you always want to paste in plain test then turn on the Pegasus Mail configuration option "Always paste plain text...". It is located in Tools > Options > Outgoing Mail > Message formatting. This setting is identity specific.

If you want to selectively paste as plain text then use the appropriate context menu (right-click) option.

I need to add a comment here as the author of IERenderer as the default HTML renderer: I just recently found out that there actually is an issue I can't do anything about: Even if disabling all text styling and selecting always to paste plain text it may look as if you were sending out HTML since the editor lost its capability to properly convert HTML into a plain text version in the editor on message creation. But, if taking the chance to create a final version message (not copy-to-self since that isn't actually what get's sent) by copying a queued version to a folder of your choice, e.g., you'll see that the sent version will actually really contain only plain text. This needs to be fixed by David Harris whom I already sent a respective note a couple of days ago.

Thank you both! trying that setting...

Not working. I posted web text, it went in as a big blackbox. I sent it to myself in email, and the text was gone.

Is there any way to fix this???
