Missing Quotation Marks in Reply when german umlaut in display name an MIME-Encoding used by sender

Hello,

I'm from Germany and we need to work with umlauts (äöüß). Until now, I had no problems replying to emails with umlauts in the display name of the senders email address, but now more and more emails are appearing where the "From" part is MIME-encoded (specifically UTF-8 Base64). When I reply to such an email, the quotes around the name are missing in the response, and I get an error message when sending: '??ser, T??st' is not a valid address... (should be "Üser, Töst"smile. After manually inserting quotes I can send the email. In the from-header it is coded as
=?utf-8?B?w7xzZXIsIFTDvHN0?=
with no quotes. RFC 2047 says, that's OK.
Tried to change "Default MIME-Charcterset" in advanced settings, but no change.
Any ideas or is this a bug in Pegasus?

Bye Philipp

Tried to post the text, but kept getting an exception error when posting, so converted to a png.

Just for info.

This issue occurs because of the comma in the unquoted name, it's not a UTF-8 issue. I haven't seen it in a long time until once last week. I don't remember whether David Harris attempted to fix it when it came up in beta-testing, but I remember discussing it once in the past (not recently, though). For now there's only the work-around of adding the missing quotes as you already figured out.

@msetzerii: I don't think the emoticon was part of the address, it's the forum editor here doing this if typing in a double quote followed by a closing parenthesis as you can see in the preview pane.
