anyway to read a power point massage through pegasus mail

If you have power point installed already, it might be that you need to reassociate some file extenions too (ppt and pptx i think).

What is a powerpoint message? Neither an email nor an attachment? Both these should be handled properly?

Since Power Point is part of Microsoft Office (which version?) you will need to have MS Office installed on your computer if you wish to open and view. Pegasus is a e-mail program not a presentation program. If the PowerPoint file is sent as an attachment (only way to to e-mail it) then when you open the message check the attachment tab, select the file and click Open, this will launch the associated program (PowerPoint or OpenOffice is installed).

OpenOffice will also open most PowerPoint files (may not be 100 compatible) and is freeware. Google is your friend.

Not necessarily, there's also the free MS PowerPoint Viewer.
