MS-DOS 6.22 w MSClient TCP/IP stack - can I use Pegasus Mail ?

Greetings, I am wondering if I will be able to use Pagasus Mail on a native MS-DOS 6.22 machine that runs MSClient (WFW Add-on).

I am trying to send email via a batch file. My main program can swap out and free up a few hundred kb of ram.
I always use blat to send mails from batch files - http://www.blat.net/  It is simple to use and has a very small footprint.

As far as I can tell blat is not for native DOS but for the 16 or 32 bit Windows command line.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the drivers MS Client uses are winsock or NDIS drivers.  Will Pegasus work with these?

My specs

80486, MS-DOS 6.22, MS Client  3.0, WG1049 Server add on, 20 Meg Ram, CF Card as HD replacement, 7 slot ISA MB  FULL of cards.

I must be the last guy on earth running one of these but this 486 has been chugging along since 94'

My main application is capable of swapping out so it will free up 2 or 300kB of ram

As long as you have a Winsock on your system, and you are using the Windows version of Pegasus Mail, you have a chance that this might work. But I have never heard of anyone else with this working environment.  I have heard of people still using the DOS version of Pegasus Mail, and it is still available on the distribution site. I believe you need some sort of extra software, and I hope someone else can get you that information. I know Pegasus Mail works with telephone modems.

Good Luck !!
