I'm testing Pegasus on Linux Mint under the latest version of Wine 9.15
V4.80 you need to disable/remove IErenderer and disable bearhtml as expected, with the result that any graphics are a problem.
However Pegasus V4.73, with the included version of IErenderer V2.4.10.3 mostly works, there is a popup error at times regarding something not implemented, the message is not really indicating what.
I have tried IErenderer 2.6.5.4 and it goes back to not working.
I am wondering if any of the intervening versions of IErenderer would be available, that I could use to test to see if I can get better results.
This is PmailUnDup by Lamster Consulting. The original source was which no longer exists.
PmailUnDup was designed to remove duplicate emails however it also checks folder integrity and fixes indexes. It should work with any 4.x version of Pegasus Mail. It is supplied AS IS, without any warrantee as to merchantability or fitness for use.
The PmailUnDup230.zip file is the originally downloaded file. The PMailUnDup_hlp_as_chm.zip file contains the original help file compiled as a .chm.
I recently updated IERenderer from version 2.7.1.4 to 2.7.1.5, and since then, I could no longer open e-mail messages. When I tried Pmail freezed. I tried to uninstall, and reinstall it, but it didn't help. Uninstalling it and then installing the older 2.7.1.4 version "solved" the problem. Now I can open messages. Anyone else had this problem? Should I report it elsewhere?
PegFolders is a utility that generates a list of the Pegasus Mail folders in the current directory, showing the operating system filename, the internal Identifier string, the user friendly "Folder Name", and the file size.
FYI: I've just uploaded another PMPGP Maintenance Update for those of you still using my respective extension. Here's what I've done recently to fix some issue reported by (the only?) one of my busiest remaining users:
/ 01-2022 (31.01.2022):
This version just fixes some minor issues not covered by the previous version such as in the docs and the print preview dialog.
Version 6.2.7.26 / 01-2022 (26.01.2022):
This version fixes various issues with processing complex S/MIME and PGP/MIME encoded messages as well as dealing with embedded pictures which will additionally take advantage of Pegasus Mail's new version 4.8.
There's also a simplified way for printing the aforementioned kind of messages without having to invoke the tree view dialog first.
It also brings back the previously hidden caret when replying to or forwarding of decoded messages (sorry for introducing this annoying bug).
The attached whitepaper was created to assist users who needed to move their mailbox directory. The need was prevalent when Windows 10 broke Pegasus Mail for everyone who had it installed in the \Programs Files directory. Fixing it required a clean installation of Pegasus Mail to an unprotected directory followed by a restoration of the mailbox data from the old Pegasus Mail installation. The process is also appropriate for anyone who needs to copy mailbox data to an installation of Pegasus Mail on a different PC or who is having problems with Pegasus Mail and wishes to start with a clean install while maintaining their data.
There have been some changes to Pegasus Mail since it was written but it remains a valuable resource. Specific questions about the process can be posted in the Community Discussions and Support category of this forum.
MKQUOT simplifies the creation of the Pegasus Mail RQUOTES.R file, which is used for variable signatures. It is freeware and copyrighted by Jan Sjöberg.
The archiv file contains the original mkquot archiv (with the original 16-bit version) and recompiled versions for 16- (Pentium II compatible), 32-and 64-bit environment.
This version is exclusively about fixing minor issues, annoyances of and enhancing error handling in several places plus hopefully fixing some crashes and hangs under certain conditions some of which I could only duplicate on WinXP.
This is probably the last upgrade of Bearhtml to be made available before Pegasus Mail V5 becomes available. Basic support for Html V5 is included in this release, and some CSS V3 is also included. The implementation of Html V5 is somewhat problematic, as the software vendors implementing the conversion from Html V4 to Html V5 have different interpretations of the new functions. Also of concern is that migration of Html V4 code is being implemented by converting to CSS V3 instead of Html V5.
From time to time I may release further upgrades to resolve these vendor implementation problems. Please bear in mind that you can flip over to using IERenderer if Bearhtml cannot resolve displays correctly.
PMICAL 3.4 is a major upgrade to the existing versions that users may have. It has been introduced to fix various problems in Windows 10 in both 32-bit and 64-bit modes, and can deal with all the current versions of Microsoft Outlook generated calendar events.
It can be downloaded here: http://community.pmail.com/files/folders/pegadd/entry50920.aspx
NewsMail V2 re-introduced with fixes for Windows 10 systems, including 64-bit Windows. This utility can download News server articles via NNTP protocol, and convert them into Pegasus Mail mail messages. Either individual messages or digest collections of messages can be delivered to Pegasus Mail. There are not many publically available NNTP severs, but quite a few installations still offer NNTP as a way of sharing messages and data.
This update for SendDoc and SendDoc2 fixes problems caused by Microsoft disabling DDE in Windows 10 if user does not have Microsoft Office installed.
It required the installation in the c:\pmail\programs directory, of the MAPIPM.DLL available at this site at: http://community.pmail.com/files/folders/pegadd/entry40687.aspx This file is normally included in the standard distribution of Pegasus Mail.

Bearhtml 4.9.9.1 contains minor updates to improve fetching of remote graphics. This version is replaced by Bearhtml 4.9.9.7 and should only be used in case of recovery being needed.
Update to Virscan to support Microsoft Windows Defender AV. See Virscan.i. Also updated DenyExtensions list in Virscan.i to support to remove rejection of DOC, XLS, and PPT DOCF type documents, but forcing scanning.
This utility, given a filename will report the currently associated application that will "open" the file selected. If the result is blank, there is no application currently associated with the filetype.
