Not at all sure how to checge this. Pegasus Mail when accessing the message file changes it and obviously the other POP3 clients see that the file has been changed. I would try going to IMAP4 instead of POP3 and see if this solves your problem.

Signatures do not work

attachment information missing in the copy self

Pmail & Egroupware Addressbook Integration

Depending on what access rights you have to the MySql database you can simply do the following at the DOS Command Prompt:

1. Type Mysql. You should get a prompt back stating "MySql>"

2: Type in SELECT * FROM databasename.tablename INTO OUTFILE 'C:/TEMP/afilename.TXT; In Windows, the Databasename is the directory, and Tablename is the name assigned by your software to the address book table. Hopefully something useful. If you have the right table, you should find the OUTFILE created in C:/TEMP. Otherwise you probably have some access rights issue that your Admin might help with.

3. Type in QUIT

The file created in 2. above can now be opened and edited in Microsoft Excel to get column names matching the names required by Pegasus Mail (see Helpfile) and unwanted columns deleted.

File can then be saved as afilename.CSV All being well you can then import afilename.CSV into Pegasus Mail

LAN Access to Mail Files

Am familiar with DOSBox and will download a copy so that I can run pconfig.exe

The balance of your tutorial is thorough and I must now get my feet wet to fully understand and appreciate. We now use a common username which certainly is appropriate for children, grandchildren and now one great grandchild (but at one he does not type yet) and many friends but we also have our independent interests where I will consider setting up separate aliases with our ISP. Without separate accounts we would not see any value

Thomas, you have been more than helpful and I do appreciate the time spent with me (and obvious that you do this for many).

Ver 4.63 Build 325 Folder disappeared

Which error messages? May be they have been about a folder needing reindexing or cosistency check?

Your folder didn't disappear - the index was destroyed for some reason (it's a seperate file). Seldomly had this "problem" with older versions of Pegasus but not so far with new version. Most times it occured with broken networkconnections (folders are on a server) or crashing Windows. Perhaps check your hardware ... especially memory and harddisk.

You don't need to go back. But as everytime you have important data on your computer you should have a good backup of that data! Do you?
