What is the procedure for getting IMAP mail?
IMAP is designed for leaving emails on the server, not for downloading them (technically it downloads the data nevertheless but doesn't store them on your machine unless you enable message caching - which is only supplied for enhancing performance on slow connections, though). How to download copies of messages without deleting them on the server is described up this thread. These are the options Pegasus Mail offers, don't they match your needs?
Any further suggestions for Pmail is still much, much slower downloading images the Tbird?
Sorry to say, but this is the only way you can get it with Pegasus Mail. The only other option would be to open such messages in your system's browser via the message reader's context menu.

When sending plain text make sure that you line length setting in Tools | Options | Message formatting is no longer than 6.8 inches. When sending HTML (Rich text selected) there is not much you can do.
Since I posted my message I have endured the automatic "jumping to browser" but this morning was driven to see if there had been any answers to my question and I have just found yours.
Holding Ctrl down while clicking on a URL in my version of Pegasus works! Thank you! The URL opens in the background while I continue reading the email.
Now what do I do? (I can't disable filtering because I can't get to the tools menu.)
See . But other than suggested in this post we would be interested in what message causes this issue and what filter rule might be involved, so it might be helpful for us to take a look at the CNM file and your rules, if possible. And it would be nice if you could figure out the details as far as possible ... [:)] BTW: File types can be looked up on Han's page for finding the filter rules.
Pegasus 4.61 has been running for 2 days (Win7/32 Pro). When I most recently restored it from the tray, most (not all) of the toolbar icons were missing. Simply moving the mouse across the toolbar brought them back. Very strange!

Vincent,
I have seen similar reports on this forum at various times. I recall that some have had success in reducing the level of hardware acceleration for their graphics adapter. That might be something to consider exploring. Also, searching the forum for something like "missing toolbar icons" may produce other options.
These headers don't provide any useful information, can you please forward such a message
For the public (a more detailed reply was sent to the original poster): These messages are actually really broken, they only provide the multipart/alternative header without specifying any MIME compliant text subsection, just an HTML stream attached.
One question left: I dislike the bigger toolbar icons. Can I get the small ones back?
You can customise the toolbar using the bpanel.txt file in the Resource directory. Mine looks like this. I also removed a few dll and fff file pairs that I don't use, so the associated icons don't show in the toolbar. I think it looks less cluttered this way than when all large icons are featured.
I think that this post gives instructions to do what I need to do. Thanks. I did want to add this from another post as I have Windows 7 and I think others may bump into this too:
"Also, pconfig.exe is a 16 bit DOS app which will not run on a 64 bit OS. Options are to run it using a DOS emulator like DOSBOX or run it on an XP machine then copy the resulting pmail.cfg to the Pegasus Mail on a 64 bit machine."
Thank Thomas for your prompt response. I tried your second suggestion first, and it worked! Not sure how that window separator got changed so the attachemnts didn't show. Thanks for solving my problem.
You could set a regular expression filter to find BEGIN:VCALENDAR in the body, and set the action to execute a program that will put the body content into a file. Second action would be to run an application that understands vCalendar and input the file just created.
Recently upgraded to 4.61 hoping a minor irritation would be fixed. With three of four users (on the same machine), when PM is started, the folders dialog box with preview defaults to "New Mail" and displays it fine. All four users have tools|options|basic settings "Automatically open the new mail folder at startup" checked. However, with one of the users, the folder dialog box has the "My Mailbox" folder hilited, not "New Mail" and a separate dialog box with "New Mail" is displayed. To correct, I close the separate "New Mail" dialog box and select "New Mail" in the folder dialog box. All users are set to save the desktop session state. What is necessary to correct? Thanks!
We use Pegasus+Mercury in standalone mode, which means the extended options are not available with Pegasus Mail. Consequently we are not able to set up autoforwarding.
I don't know whether Pegasus Mail can do this at all (maybe using filter rules), so I would guess you better post this question to the . Aside from this: Do you believe five-staring your own post is a fair practice? To me this comes very close to a spammer's practice, I'm afraid ...
I have enjoyed Pegasus for 11 years but I haven't enjoyed windows since Windows95 and would like to switch to Ubuntu 11 but I have no idea how to export my Pegasus mail folders and address folders to Evolution Mail in Ubuntu. Can anyone help?
Two important considerations: are you aware that you can run winpm-32 and import your whole setup and data to an Ubutu + Wine system/
Second consideration is what formats of messages folders and what address book formats does the new Evolution Mail do Import? Pegasus Mail contains functions to export address book information in two formats and email messages can be moved to .mbx format storage folders that can be imported or used by many unix based mail clients. Distribution lists are singe plain text file each so they should be importable to everything.
Several freeware and commercial email conversion programs claim to support Pegasus Mail. Another couple claim to handle address book conversions.
