After digging around some more, I discovered (and I apologize for this) that the problem is in the IERenderer and NOT in the "native" Pegasus HTML renderer.
Nevertheless, could you be so kind as to forward the respective message as a zipped CNM file from your new mail directory so I can fix this issue if possible at all, at least for other users if you prefer not to use IERenderer?
WHen the email (text message is selected full screen it appears as it should but when it is in a preview mode I get HTML text from another email beneath the first message.
I don't think I understand, what does selected full screen mean? Do you mean open in a reader window? Can you provide a screenshot of such a preview (you can attach it to a post at the top of the editor on the Options tab)? How often does this occur and can you repeat it at will? And does it cease to occur after closing and reopening the preview window or Peasus Mail as a whole?
Perhaps unrelated I still get a blank email folder created whenever I start Pegasus
What's the name of the folder in Pegasus Mail?
Hi!
Probably this is described already
, but ...
So far we did use Pegasus with Novell NetWare (NDS mode). Now we have plans to setup mail system little bit differently and not rely on NDS mode. So, my plan is to install Pegasus (4.6.1) locally on every computer and user run it from there (using POP3 etc.), but they don't (and will not) have admin privileges, so. there is no option to save/update cfg-file in initial Pegasus dir. Also, is somehow possible to avoid this first dialog about mailbox location? I mean, lets after starting Pegasus create it by default under user profile? So, I mean, is there a option to automate Pegasus mailbox etc. conf?
More thanks, Alar.
AFAIK the problem of running PM in a Netware environment is that it automaticaly detects Netware (PM on the server or on the computer gives the same result.

The solution is to add -A to the target in the shortcut options, this forces PM to ignore Netware connections.
For example, when Pmail.cfg could accept and use %USERPROFILE% in

mailbox location path ... wonderful! =)
Alar.
Unfortunatly it's not possible. The solution I use is to create users and their PM parameters via script. I've a template folder of a PM user, when I create a user I add his/her name to pmail.usr, I create his/her folder in the hierarchy, in the folder I've a pmail.ini file containing variables in place of the definitive value and change them via script (ie $user is replaced by the username etc) then I apply the correct ntfs rights.

You should also have only one installation of PM on the server (network installation) and put a shortcut to it on the shared desktop. Easier to do and to maintain.

Regards
Hi, my PM version 4.61 moves all sent messages in the folder Papierkorb (Trash) and copies of sent messages disappear at all allthough they should be saved in Ausgangskopien (copies of send messages). Does anybody have a solution? I use IMAP. Conny
I don't think I understand, can you please post to the (sent messages don't go out to the recipient or queue?)? Maybe you just need to check your settings on Extras => Einstellungen => Ausgangskopien and Extras => IMAP Profile => [Ausgewähltes Profil öffnen] => Einstellungen?
So I thought maybe I need to reindex the New Mail folder - I can't seem to be able to reindex the New Mail folder - no option to do this
The new mail "folder" isn't a folder like the other ones, it's just a collection of new mail files, hence there's no index file which can be fixed in any way. And as your further attempts show that wouldn't have helped anyway as the problem appears to be inside the message(s).
Then tried to open one of the mail items in this new Folder - 4.61 crashes
If you can identify specific messages causing the crash (HTML formatted messages, BTW?) we would like to get them as unmodified as possible, preferably as zipped CNM files from your new mail directory (path shown on Help => About Pegasus Mail = Info as New mailbox location). As you may need to move or copy these messages (or a single one) back to the new mail folder please note that you can select a message via right mouse click to avoid being opened in preview mode for safely deleting it if you need to do this in PM 4.61. Right-clicking a message (in the new mail folder) and selecting Message properties will display the CNM filename of the message, BTW. Please send your report to beta-reports[at]pmail.gen.nz.

Thomas,

Sorry, to bother you about this.  It was my ignorance that caused this.  In my older version of Pegasus I remember that I was able to d-click on the attachment filename and it would open, so that's what I tried.  You quickly responded by telling me about the 'open' button, which works just fine.

Thank you very much for your help.
Also, when I try to About / Update S/MIME, it returns "Cannot read Internet data" - ??
This is because the website for providing this information doesn't exist since I never set it up in the first place: The S/MIME extension isn't really suitable for broader public consumption since it's only poorly supported by Pegasus Mail itself and requires the smarter kind of people for dealing with its shortcomings.
I'll send you a couple of the misbehaving email messages, so that you can have a look, whether or not there's a remedy.

How do you want me to get them out to you?
Preferably zipped CNM files from the new mail directory, IERenderer's About dialog provides a link for contacting me.

BTW: It could also be a CSS (style) attribute causing this: white-space:nowrap.

Check out bpanel.txt in the resource directory for the toolbar.pm file.  Here's a toolbar.pm with a number of quick moves.

0,801,0,1801,"Compose a new mail message"
0,802,0,1802,"Open or re-scan your new mail folder"
0,803,0,1803,"Work with your mail folders"

0,806,0,1806,"Open a list of local people on your system"
0,807,0,1807,"Create or manage rules for filtering your new mail"
0,808,0,1808,"Open or browse noticeboards"
1
2,840,0,"Identities"

0,823,0,1823,"Print the current window"
0,824,0,1824,"Select a font for the current window"
0,828,0,1828,"Send all queued mail"
0,827,0,1827,"Check your POP3 host for new mail"
0,829,0,1829,"Both check and send mail in one operation"
0,835,0,1835,"Selective Mail Download"

0,10314,0,1844,"Move to the Gurke Folder"
0,10315,0,1173,"Move to the McCormick Folder"

I picked the icons out of the icons in the png folder so that they would match the other icons on the toolbars.

> Is there a way to add a renamed "Quick Action #1" entry to a right-click mouse menu?

No.

> I see a mention of "Quick Folders" in the help files. But I cannot find the Quick copy/move submenu of the Folder menu that it refers to
> and the "Quick Folders" define button takes me right back to my already defined "Quick Actions".

Huh?  When the folders are open under the top level menu "Messages" there the a menu Quick copy/move and a sub menu to edit the quick move functions.

> There's a nice menu bar displayed in the help files that looks like what I'm looking for. Is this something that will only appear in v5?

Not at all.

 Hello Phil,
You can also use the pmuser ev (provided that PM and Windows use the same user names).
many thanks for the information.

Is there any place where the use of environment variables for PMail is documented? My search in Help and Manual wasn't successfully.

But at least I found this : -)

Best regards
Wolfgang
