I have used the latest testfiles (V2.4.1.5) you have send to me, but the problem is still there. I had send you a crashdump file.
As far as I can tell by now these issues can be solved by doing a proper installation on the removable drive, i.e. make sure to run the current setup for installing all required files in the proper locations of the device (simply select New install instead of Update).
> My new installation says the MAIL folder is located at C:\PMAIL\MAIL\Admin. My system backup has a month old MAIL folder at > C:\PMAIL\MAIL. I'm running Windows XP. How can I get my old files back, or at least be able to read them?
Here are a few way to do this, I would prefer using option #2.
1. Use pconfig.exe from the winpm-32.exe directory, probably c:\pmail\programs and change the home and new mail directory from c:\pmail\mail\~8 to c:\pmail\mail.
2. Move everything from the c:\pmail\mail directory except pmail.usr and pmail.ini to the c:\pmail\mail\admin directory.
3. Use Folders | Add mailbox to list and point at the c:\pmail\mail directory.
In any case move all of the *.CNM files from the c:\pmail\mail folder before doing anything. There is probably a zero byte file in there someplace and you have not done the Spamhalter fix. This zero byte file is causing Spamhalter to crash and the OS also takes down Pegasus Mail. You need to upgrade Spamhalter.
After your suggestion, I had made that you propose.
I had installed the previous version and all was similar (very bad performance). In that point, I remember that 1 month ago I had changed my switch from 100 Mb to 1 Gb.
The results has been incredible. If I work with the 1 Gb switch, to move one hundred of small messages from a folder to another one take 3 minutes. If I work with the 100 Mb switch, the same test only need 8-10 seconds.
May be a problem with a "delay routine". In my case I will go to downgrade my switch untill I will deploy a new server in the next 2 months.

Can you please describe what you see? I have no idea what you're talking about ...
When I finally get in, it stops "responding".
Once again, what exactly happens when doing what? Did you create any filters, yet? A screenshot might help as well (to add on the Options page of the forum post editor's top).
Creating a pdf in a batch with all messages attached is a long wished feature. I would like to test "ABC Amber Pegasus Converter", but unfortunately the author of the software stopped selling and distributing it. I somebody knows a save place to download it, preferable the last version 5.06 let me know.
Note: I don't ask for help to steal the software. If I found it useful I would happily pay the author for his work. (Although after doing some heavy google searching I think this will not be possible).
If I have IE rendering enabled and start working on let say 3 new emails at the same time I could before under "Window" menu option switch between the Main Folder window and all the three emails I was working on.
Well, I though my workaround worked, obviously it didn work at all. I've fixed this now both for IERenderer and BearHtml, I'll announce an update in due course ...
If the New Mail folder is not active/highlighted when new mail is downloaded, subsequently clicking on the New Mail folder will cause the Autofilter to filter, but not highlight the receiving folders.
If the New Mail folder is active/highlighted, then any new mail received and autofiltered straight away, will highlight the receiving folders.
This has only been a problem since 4.52. With 4.52 autofiltering highlighting would work no matter what folder you had active when new mail was downloaded.
OK. Thanks. Evidently google changed something in their format recently, because I just started having problems. I'll try sticking with fancy view for now, though I had no idea how many people write to me using huge red fonts! ;-)
When I right click to import an image into the message editor the default format is .bmp. Is it possible to change this to .jpg?
Can you point me to the "-ROAM" option thing ? I mean, a message or thread or FAQ entry or whatever that will explain to me what things I need to know about this.
