Transcripts are only available (and only meaningful) if you use MercuryE - they are not supported by the MercuryC module.
Thanks Thomas. That is my answer. I don't see Mercury E installed, just C.
did you check if "Allow multiple file selection when adding attachments" (Tools - Options - Advanced settings) is checked?
This setting could have changed during the upgrade. I have no idea what else could cause your problem. I do use drag & drop from Total Commander regularly and havn't had any problems with the new version.
Why not simply read the release notes?
Are they linked to from the Downloads section? As far as I can see, you can only get to them from the Overview page - which isn't where the home page announcement goes to.
Yep, you're right - much better navigation to direct to release notes from the front page, where you have the download now button.
I have to go to work, I will try your solution as soon I come back.
I have read in forum that the html motor when importation accept better the basic html code, but I haven't known how to reformulate the code,
Thank you very much Sharkfin.
And what's up concerning an equivalent tab of "raw view" when we are editing the message ? I have read that in a topic, and I found the idea very interresting.
The problem is the interaction between the HTML renderer (BearHtml) and Pegasus Mail. As far as I understand, the current implementation has it's problems with longer formatted (HTML-) messages because the program "measures" the time between mouse clicks and this systems gets confused with some HTML messages because the renderer takes too long to display the message so that Pegasus Mail does not recognize the second mouse click as part of a double click.
I think this is just an unfortunate by-product of the new Help system forced upon us by Vista. David had to re-create the help files in a new format and this is what you get.
The index tab contains all of the help pages alphabetically and yuo can jump to one by simply clicking in the list and typing. For example, clicking anywhere in the index list and pressing "p" will take you down to the first subject under P (Password). Typing "PO" will move you further down te list, getting more specific (POP3).
Beyond that, I don't believe you can do anything else as far as searching is concerned. Blame Microsoft, not Pegasus.
It appears that the "Using Help" menu item is now defunct. Well spotted.

The change user has been removed due to problems with crashing. You can run multiple instances of Pegasus Mail though, one for each user, so it is no longer necessary anyway. You do need to add the -MS commandline option.
1. Right click on the WinPMail shortcut and select "Properties".
2. Select the "Shortcut" tab.
3. Edit the "Target line" to add the commandline option.
A commandline option will generally look like the following:
c:\pmail\winpm-32.exe -i thomas -MS
"c:\Program Files\pmail\winpm-32.exe" -i thomas -MS
I have Pegaus 4.21c installed on a Windows XP computer with two mailboxes established. One is working fine but when I try to change user to get to the other, it hangs up when applying mail filtering rules. Trying to enter directly doesn't work - endless hourglass on the desktop.
The last thing I did was send out two large sound files - approx 15MB each - copied to myself. Was this a mistake?
Yes if there is any server at all along the line that will not accept the encoded 15 MByte files. The messages will be bounced back. In addition a 15 MByte sound file will be closer to 20 MBytes when encoded in a message.
Has it overpowered the system? If so, is there any way of rectifying the situation?
The messages have probably bounced and there is an even larger bounce message in the inbox where both filtering and content control is trying to process. Go to the new mail directory and move (or delete) these huge CNM files and PMail will open normally.
Alternatively I notice a 0kb MAILBOXP.LCK file in the 'problemfiles' folder, which then appears at the top of the list in my C:\PMAIL\MAILl folder each time I try to gain entry. Apologies if this has been posted before - I did check a few other threads which appeared promising that they were about differenct problems. Any advice very welocme.
Then are you going to restore the file from tape / backup when the user complains?
Not a good thing.
Best is to educate the users.
Should be easy enough to run a script to check the size of the mailstore and give a warning at 75% of max. When at 95% lock the user out. This is mean, but after one or two times they will comply.
Perl, Python or even vbscript should be able to handle this.
Maybe, but this is not something Pegasus Mail has any control over. It depends a great deal on system administration, a skill which most users do not have. It is better to clearly state that pmail offers no such security than to have people complaining that "Pegasus is broken" because it didn't work for them, or to engender an illusion of security.
