My BearHtml.ini does not have the 'Proxy' entry. This means that, as you say, it must be a bug in WinInet.dll. However, it is easy to see that the registry key is being examined when Pegasus runs. I used "Process Monitor" from sysinternals.com. There's no question in my mind that a) that registry key is being examined and b) deleting the registry key affects the behavior of BearHtml.
Thanks very much, I will try the copy. Move gives me weird GUI graphic distortions, a little message box pops up, and also the system freezes or moves VERY slow.
It's good to finally have a face to go with your name.
I am very grateful to you for your hard work. I have been using p-mail and Mercury since 1999 when we first computerized our offices and had our first netware servers installed. Money was tight and Mercury/Pmail fit the bill. Not only did they fit the bill, they have performed so well that we still have them in use today!
Hats off to you sir!
I also really like this community, was this created using any type of canned code?
> I couldn't find an option to change the path of Pegasus MAIL home > folder,
You can run pconfig.exe from the WinPMail program directory to change the home and new mail directory paths.
> so I copied my user to the Pegasus folder. Some of the folders > are apparently gone, and some are back to life.
Try the following procedure. This has worked for several others to restore the functionality of the message folders:
1. Use Help | About Pegasus Mail | Info to determine your mail directory. Exit Pegasus mail.
2. Rename the file HIERARCH.PM in your HOME mail directory to HIERARCH.SAV.
3. Run WinPMail. Your HIERARCH.PM will be re-created and should start working correctly.
Note: This will delete any tray structure you have created and it will have to be recreated. The process will not affect any mail of mail folders you have, it only affects the display of the folders.
In otherwords, when I copy a link from a website I paste it into a new email and it looks like this: whereas the 3 other computers only paste the plain text: www.documentsanddesigns.com
1. You must use a full URL, i.e. http://www.documentsanddesigns.com instead of the simple www.documentsanddesigns.com if you want it to be highlighted in Pegasus Mail.
2. The URL in the editor of a plain text message does not show as underlined, the hyperlink though shows as highlighted in the received message. In addition, if it does show as underlined then you are going to be sending "Rich Text" HTML and on the other end it will not be a link.
3. For URLs you should use the Paste Special | Text only & Unwrapped to ensure you are pasting plain text.
The number of columns in the folder list is fixed, so currently there is no way to display another field.
'Copy self' folders behave differently when PMail generates the copy in them, and the contents of the 'To:' field are put into the address column. (It's all held in the folder index.)
I have no knowledge about changes that may happen to the folder list and structure, but you could put a request in the wishlist forum.
When I open Pmail, the Folders window shows what appears to be the total number of messages in any Unix mailbox including "deleted" messages and the number of unread messages a 0. It's only after I've opened a Unix folder that that the correct numbers are shown in the Folders window.
a few minutes ago I had a look at the Kaspersky Lab Forum following the keyword Pegasus, and I found the following suggestion (German first, then my translation):
Hallo und Willkommen im Forum,
im englischen Forum hat es
Anwendern mit diesem Problem anscheinend geholfen, winpm-32.exe als
vertrauenswürdige Anwendung mit der Option "Programmaktivität nicht
kontrollieren" zur Vertrauenswürdigen Zone hinzuzufügen.
===========
Hello and welcome to the forum,
it has apparently helped users in the English forum to move winpm-32.exe to the group of trustworthy applications and activate the option "don't control program activity".

...worked in my case, too, although I'd consider that solution as an ugly workaround - the Kasperskys should definitely do some debuggin' there!
Thanks. I just tried resending the message to the same addressee from the same mailbox and had no problems. But I don't understand your reply. I will study up on what "identity" means in this context and see if that clarifies the situation for me. Appreciate the response.
I moved the CNM files this time too, and it started. The new ones were all small, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I had thought the problem was with big files.
Anyway, It's working, so that's what I need. Thanks again.
it says msg send but when i check my email at nothing
Your PHP application probably sends to MercuryS but to enable the mail to be sent to the outside you also must setup MercuryC to point at a external relay host to actually send the mail. You probably can't send via MercuryE unless you have a real domain and a fixed IP address.
I generally don't print HTML messages - I generally hope I don't receive them; I wish people would stick to plain text as there is really nothing anyone can tell me in an email message that needs to have additional pointless formatting! If they want that, they can send me an attachment!
Anyway - sorry for the rant, but....
Thanks at least for answering, but it's mainly plain text messages I'm interested in printing.
