 But I'd have to do that for every email? No automatic way to set them? My business has me doing maybe 500 emails a month. :-) 

Oh wait, it's not as complicated as I thought. Wonder if I can set that up with custom colors?

Yes, closing the folder does change the STATE.PMJ timestamp

OK. If I got it right the app you're using is that provided by Google itself (that of the M icon over an envelope). If so, it is just a shortcut to the Gmail web interface. Try clicking the menu button and pick All mail. Most likely you'll find your deleted messages archived in this folder. Of course this depends on your current settings.

I was able to identify the two zombie files and remove them.

I had to reinstall PMAIL though since it locked up once I removed the files.

 Virus scan showed buttkiss.

Not sure if this is relevant, but I had a very similar problem with AT&T, who, IIRC, was using Yahoo SMTP servers. This had worked okay for years, but then suddenly I was having to send and resend messages multiple times until they would actually go thru. This was a huge pain. At that time, I suspected that AT&T or Yahoo had cut back on their SMTP servers since most people were now doing webmail. That meant that I was now finding their reduced number of SMTP servers busy, and there was no chance that I was going to get AT&T/Yahoo to backtrack on their reduction.

My solution was to find an alternate SMTP server. There are places out there that offer this as a service. I looked around and found authsmtp.com. I have been using it for several years and it has worked flawlessly. I use their minimal subscription which I believe covers up to 1000 outgoing emails a month for a cost of US$32 per year. I believe I can register up to 10 sender email addresses within this plan.They want you to pay by the year, but they allow you to cancel and back out in the first month if you're not satisfied.

They also seem to take spam very seriously, so I don't think I'm supporting a spam farm.

Since my POP server is also not AT&T or Yahoo, this now means that I'm not tied to them in any way, so I'm free to change ISPs without fear of having to change email addresses or anything else. I've used this while traveling around the US, no problems. I assume it would work equally well, anywhere in the world that had good internet access.

I have no connection to authsmtp other than as a satisfied customer.

The thread is in Site Feedback.  I moderated the set of messages he send into the Moderated Messages folder.  I wrote back to him and got a reply.  I also requested David H or Peter S delete the user id. I don't know how he got an Id.

I normally agree, but as both a moderator and contributor, that can be involved with both public and private messaging, I am willing to take the risk.  I have some heavy spam protection and filtering code.

Yes, 4.73 is the latest version.  You will then want to update one or both of the HTML renderers, IERenderer and Bearhtml.

FWIW, a couple of valuable pieces of information for us to begin helping troubleshoot your double-click problem is knowing which HTML renderer you are using and how Pegasus Mail is configured to invoke the brower.  The configuration setting is in Tools > Options > Incoming mail > Hyperlinks.  Start a new discussion if you need more info about the renderers or if you need help determining which one you are currently using.

This explains how they might have been created.  Now to figure out why duplicates were created as Pegasus Mail  mailboxes.  Hierarch shows them both with the same folder name bu different internat names so I still intend to access the users mailbox and try to figure out what is showing up in the folder list.  It has become difficult with folks maintining an IMAP connection while working from home.

A couple days ago I tried to install Pegasus Mail in my Linux Mint machine (under Wine). I copied my 4.73 installer package into a thumb drive I used to install it. It did very well installing Pegasus Mail to Wine's C: drive. Shortcuts were correctly created and my only intervention was to rename IERenderer.fff to IERenderer.fff_ to avoid its call. Everything worked so fine I'm astonished. In the forthcoming days I'll play with add-ons like the Hunspell dictionaries, SpamHalter, etc. I think I'm finally on my way out of Windows world.

I also had the invaluable assistance of Michael D. Setzer II, a long time Pegasus Mail on Linux user, to details I should be aware of though all went just fine all the way.

You would need to build the folder structure in Pegasus (for your POP3 session) and use filter rules to move messages to those folders, if your rules (or defaults) don't "Delete Mail On Server Once Downloaded" your IMAP side will be synced

What you "may" miss whilst in POP3 is the Spam/Junk folder at your ISP, I have to use IMAP once in a while because Yahoo (even with filtering turned off) still send good mail to a "Bulk" folder so I need to go in and "teach" that these mails are not Spam/Junk

Seems to have resolved itself. All apparently working OK now.

There's available finally fixing the missing browser popup menu for some users.

Turns out I AM in multi-user mode and was easily able to create another user account.  I created a couple batch files I will use to start up the separate instances once I work out the details of managing and synchronizing folders as per my other inquiry.  

FWIW, I too am under quarantine for 14 days, but have other projects to work on, so I will put this one on hold until later.

In Gmail setting is an option that tells Gmail what to do when messages are accessed with POP.  Here is the URL to a help page that explains where that option is:

It doesn't appear that Gmail responds to the requests of the POP3 client but I don't know that for certain.
