BTW is there any documentation regarding what the purpose of all the files are in the pmail folders and how pmail works in general?
In Windows Explorer, navigate to the Pegasus Mail NewMail dir. This coulsd be either c:\pmail\mail or c:\pmail\mail\username, and then search for files with extension of PMW or PMX. These will be messages waiting to be mailed out. Move them temporarily out of the current directory. Then restart Pegasus Mail.
Preferably in Pegasus Mail select menu File/Review Queued Mail... to see if there actually are any messages queued. For any such messages select one at a time and click the Open button to view their content in the editor. Fix and save any that appear damaged or missing important fields such a Subject.
I am plagued with problems POPping messages from my outlook.com account. Mail is often brought down numerous times, both when PMail is set to delete on server and when set to download only unread. The messages only appear once when I look via the web interface so I know they are not being received multiple times by the server. That function that should delete the message or mark it as downloaded just seems to fail.
Another anomaly is a random failure to receive emails of community posts. I don't have a sense of how often this occurs. The only time it can really be noticed is when a reply is received to a post for which I didn't receive the original.
I have been living with these issues since day one, occasional testing different settings, but frustration got the best of me this morning so here I am.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Personal experience with an outlook.com address?
Is it possible to specify a text font to be used in all windows for sending mail, e.g. reply and New Mail messages? I can see how to change the font in an open window, if I change the font in that window, then send that item, if I subsequently open a new window (for a reply or new message) I am presented with the default font again. I am sure that I have done this in the past, but I now cannot find how to do it. Is it in the config file?
I use different icons for the various shortcuts to the different mail accounts. I, too, have issues restoring Pegasus Mail from the Notification Area so just hover over the flapping wings until the name appears and then click the Taskbar entry. The different icons help me recognise which account is which.
Now if I can just turn on images PERMANTLY so I don't have to right click on every single email id be all set!
It's disabled by default since hidden images are used for tracking purposes. You may enable it for certain senders or all of them on Tools => Options => Message reader (at the bottom).
Your menu size (File, Edit etc) can be changed via Control Panel. The font size used in the folders displayed by Pegasus Mail can be changed by using the Folder > Font option. Message font size can be changed using the Reader > Font option.
David Harris has already fixed the problem with the Don't Send button and the fix will be included in V4.71 in the near future.

The above message from thread http://community.pmail.com/forums/40439/ShowThread.aspx#40439 is dated 12th of March 2014. I figured I'd wait until 4.71 is released before upgrading from 4.63. Needless to say, I didn't think 'near future' would have been quite this long, but stranger things have happened.
So, is 4.71 still on the horizon, or 'round the corner, or is v5 going to be next, or...
Forgot to mention that setting the fonts in the preview are works in two folders out of 8 I have. But I also wonder do I have to set the Preview area fonts for each folder individually or I set it once and its good for all folders
Think I solved my own problem by deleting all references to optonline.net (former ISP) and adding user name and password to security page for smtp setup. Anyway ........
Perhaps this is something that might be remedied in the next release? I, and others, use the 'Insert hyperlink' feature to simplify the appearance of long/complex URL's so if it is a size limit imposed by Pegasus Mail hopefully it can be adjusted or removed :)
