Hi Donald,

on closed Pegasus put the folderfiles into the directory that holdes your mailbox. You're shure you converted them? There should be files with extension PMM (and possibly PMI - but the Indexfiles would be created by Pegasus if missing). You now you could have copied the files with Thunderbirds folders to same place and add / change the fileextension to mbx? Pegasus is capable reading them You should copy the mails in there  to newly created Pegasus folders.

There are some converters for addressbooks but I did it via MS Excel and tab seperated files.

Filters should be created in Pegasus. I don't know about any converter.

My Email folders for PMAIL I converted from Thunderbird MBox format are here:
C:\Users\DonB\AppData\Roaming\Pegasus Mail\PMAIL Folders

1. Wherein PMAIL 4.70 do I point to these folders
2. ADDRESS BOOK Convert from Thunderbird; what format does PMAIL use?

My install was to the default install path not under Program Files (64-bit) or Program Files x86 (32-bit). 

Turns out, I decided to uninstall and remove the folder and files I'd copied over before installing over top.  Then (and this was the key), I was able to do a clean install of PM.

Eureka! Of course, it was very easy to reconfigure my mail settings and test.

After, I copied back my mail and config settings from my old laptop and now everything is wonderful again.

Really, like this product! 

TCPView should enable you to see whats happening:

Is that IMAP profile the last in your profilelist?

In that case try to change the order  of the profiles (edit IMAP.PM on closed Pegasus). If on start of Pegasus the now last profile shows same problem, it seems to be a limitation of Pegasus (which I never read about).

You cannot open the attachment from the dialog, but only after restarting PM when it prompts you for an "auto-saved" message which you need to complete (I'll think about offering direkt access to that file from this dialog).

It's very likely there will be a version 4.71 not too far from now. Whether the official announcement will refer to your particular issue depends on the impact it has and it's relevance compared to other issues.

I added wantcss=no to the file, and then noticed it was there twice - I guess it was there all along.  I removed the duplicate and changed the remaining to wantcss=yes which stopped it from appearing.

It might be required to use MiniDump's "stand-alone" mode where it monitors Pegasus Mail as a child process (see MiniDump's ReadMe for details).

Because David Harris modified the respective code, but he's also the only one who can answer your question. Like I said, he continues working on it, that's for sure ...

If Url length is a problem for you, why not use TinyUrl.com's service. Secondly note that an email message just consisting of a url, is treated by many mail services as highly likely to be sp*m   So remember to add some text to the message body too, explaining what the link is providing

Go to Control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default programs > Outlook > Choose defaults for this program.  Look for the MAILTO option in the "Protocols" section and the "Send mail" option in the MAPI section.  They are probably unticked and show Pegasus Mail.  Tick them to make Outlook the default program for those actions.

Bonetree, I am setting up PM 4.7 as a first time user and experienced a similar problem: I went through the proper steps to delete an address book, but it was not deleted. My solution was exit PM, then delete the associated address book files (.PMR and .PM!) from my user directory. When I reopened PM, that address book was gone.

It seems to me that the logic how rulesets are applyed to folders has somethat changed from 4.63 to 4.7.

In 4.63 the pmail was practically stalled while the ruleset  associated with folder has been processed.

In 4.7 this looks much better as one can continue to work with folders and emails while the rulset is processing the folder.

I have a lot of folders that contain data that is needed only temporaly so these folders have a folder close ruleset that deletes the mails older than X.

In past I had to close these folders one-by-one. Now I can do that in sequence and seems that pmail puts these tasks into process queue.  

However - there seems to be problem. If one tries to move emails (by an inbox mail filtering ruleset for instance) to a folder that is in beeing processed by another ruleset at the same time then the pmail hangs (non responding to win). Maybe it's sort of a race condition or smth. as at least once such hanging of pmail has resulted in constantly high processor utilization by pmail process.

Just to note that all the mailboxes in question are IMAP and the OS is WinXP.

Have anybody noticed similar and can confirm this?
