"Pegasus not response and will be closed" at Win 10

Go into Control Panel, and select Administrative Tools.  Then select Computer Management. Finally select Event viewer.  Below that item select Applications & Services.  You may see entries about Pegasus Mail.

Also check Windows Logs -->  Applications for any entries about Pegasus Mail.

Take note of problem summaries and post them here.

Hello to everybody as it is my first post.

I`m Pegasus Mail user for 15 years and wont change it for anything else. But recently Microsoft has upgrade my system (Win 7) to 10 version without my knowledge (I didn`t close upgrade window and than has started automatically) and since than I have a problem with my favourite mail client described at subject. I was upgrading Pegasus to 4,72 version (previous was 4.6x) and nothing has changed - still every 5-10min I`ve seen warning about Pegasus deactivity and program is closed.

Could anybody help me with such issue?

Greetings from Poland.

Do you have Pegasus Mail installed in a dedicated folder off the system drive? e.g. C:\PMail

If you have installed Pegasus Mail in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86) you will have problems.

Is Pegasus Mail actually crashing (closing) or are you just seeing "not responding" in the window title bar?

FWIW, v4.70 and above utilize different TCP processing which can cause Pegasus Mail to appear to hang during TCP processing (sending and receiving mail).  The "not responding" verbiage is the result of Windows not receiving a response from Pegasus Mail during this time.  The apparent hangs last until the TCP processing is complete.  Internet speed, volume of transactions & PC processing power all play a role in the length of the hangs.  This problem does not affect everyone and a solution has not been found.  A search of the forum will turn up other discussions on the matter.

The next time this happens when Pegasus Mail closes take a look in your Application Log and see if an event has been logged that records why Pegasus Mail has being closed. If we can see the contents of the event, we will have a better idea of what is happening.

I will do and presents logs when it will happen again. Regarding "not response" warning Win 10 close Pegasus automatically. Usually problem appeared while deleting incoming mail.

Thanks to all.

Edit: Unfortunately I cannot find proper log file. Today also few times Pegasus has been closed due that reason.

Can anybody show me path?
