Malfunctions in my Pegasus 4.7

The instructions on the Minidump page said to be sure to use the latest version of Pegasus.  So I tried to update from 4.70 to 4.72.  During installation it told me repeatedly that it couldn't find certain files.  I tried to back out of the update, but it persisted, finally reporting a successful installation.  But "About Pegasus" still indicates that it is running 4.70.

1.  Frequent error message pops up when clicking on a message in the Inbox:  "Access violation at address 005D9A7B in module 'winpm-32.exe.  Read of address DDDDDE49."  This error disappears temporarily if I close and re-open the program, but it comes back later..  This has been going on for weeks.

 2.  Within the last day or so a new problem has arisen.  When I click on "Send" there is a delay of 15 seconds or more  before the program responds.  The rotating circle meaning "wait" appears during this time.  Re-starting the program does not correct this.  Nor does rebooting the computer.  I am not getting such delays in other programs.

I'm running Pegasus 4.7 under Windows 10.  What to do?

Please follow the instructions about providing a crash dump as described in this post. You might need to run Pegasus Mail via MiniDump's "stand-alone" mode as described in its ReadMe file.

About the other issue I have no idea what to do.

Have you upgraded or changed your security software? Is software scanning your mail?
