64-bit and Pegasus

Pegasus Mail will run fine on a 64-bit machine.  I have an office full of them (Win7) and a laptop at home (Win10 Home).

Does Pegasus run on 64-bit? From results using search I'm inclined to thing so, however the Pegasus Mail for Windows - Overview and FAQ's only talk about 16- and 32-bit versions, but then system requirements do not mention Window 10 either.

If Pegasus will run with 64-bit do I need to reinstall or change anything? Currently I'm using v4.70 (Win32) but I see on the pmail homepage v4.72 is now available (though the home page here only shows v4.70 in the latest news).

For the record I'm using a Toshiba Satellite C850 running Windows 10 Home. Recently I've been having problems with things running slowly or not responding, and that includes Pegasus as well as browsers. My friendly, helpful computer repair shop in Amsterdam have put in a new hard drive but are suggesting changing the current 32- to 64-bit and increasing RAM from 4GB to 8GB.

There is not a 64-bit version of Pegasus Mail.  Version 4.72 runs fine in Windows 10 just be sure not to install it in either of the \Program Files directories.  Suggest installing in the default location of C:\PMAIL.  Be sure to exclude it from active scanning by your anti-virus product.

Thanks Brian. But does that mean Version 4.72 will still work if I change from 32- to 64-bit?

As for location that's where v4.70 is currently installed and 4.72 would just be replacing it.
