Every once in a while I hit a combination of keys that causes the text lines to go nuts. Here is a clip from a not particularly private exchange about wallpaper images between me and my sister in law. The effect is even weirder when I see it on my message writer screen, but you can see that the period has wrapped to the front of the line (.spectrum rather than spiritual and in the next para the full stop should be after "shape," not .And ) Also, the one space indent shouldn't be there -- it's a function of the text going backward. Or in boustrephedon.
I hope someone knows what the heck I hit -- and how to undo it (BTW ^Z doesn't fix it, evidently whatever I did is embedded for good in that message), if it's not a toggle.
I did a copy and paste to Windows Notepad, which strips about everything from a text string, and the effect disappeared (and comes back if I copy, cut or delete, and then try to paste the text back into the same message). I took a look at the RAW view of the message(s) above and didn't see anything that meant anything to me.
BTW, I thought there was a list of keyboard shortcuts somewhere?
TIA
molly

(quoteback from my message)
Well, here's my favorite picture for wallpaper and a
bunch more. Also, here's the
spectrum one I have on my big screen and can't give up.
Very spiritual.
I didn't crop them much, not knowing your screen
shape.
And my landlady in Arcata's wonderful
Dahlia.
