Hyperling Problem.

Hi Michael,

 Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately I only have 2 links to try but both of those do not work in FF.

It's a pity that there isn't a log file or similar so I can see what exactly is being transferred.

What I have noticed that when the blank tab is opens in FF, the tab has to x's in the new tab box and one has a red x.

So it could be something to do with FF.

Hi,

I am having problems with the latest version of Pegasus and Firefox with regards to hyperlinks.

Pegasus will open FF but only to a blank tab.

I have tried all the suggestions but at the moment it will only work with IE.

Is there anyway to follow what is happening in Pegasus when it tries to open the hperlink?

Thanks,

Martin

Assuming Windows 10...

Open Firefox and go to Options > General and make sure it says "Firefox is currently your default browser".  If it doesn't, click tht button to make it your default.  A Win10 window should popup where you select Firefox as your system browser.  If it doesn't, go to the system Default apps settings and set it there.  Restart your system.  Test a hyperlink from within Pegasus Mail.  If it still doesn't work, close Pegasus Mail, go back to the system Defaul apps, change the default browser to IE, restart, go back to the system Default apps and select Firefox.  This toggling of the default browser seems to reset something that gets screwed up during an update.

If the toggling fails, try entering the command line to FF in Pegasus Mail.  That configuration entry is located in Tools > Options > Incoming mail > Hyperlinks.

Hi Brian,

Thanks very much for the reply.[:D]

I am using  windows 8.

I tried the above but it didn't make any difference.[:(]

The hyperlinks work fine with IE but not with firefox.

I already have FF set in the command line in Pegasus.

I wondered if there is any way to capture what Pegasus is actually doing with that hyperlink as it does open FF but does not transfer the link.

Does this happen with all hyperlinks or only certain ones?
