How it's supposed to work:
1. When one instance of Pegasus Mail is accessing a mailbox it creates a lock file (mailboxp.lck). If another instance tries to access that mailbox you will be notified that the mailbox is locked.
2. The command line option -MS tells Pegasus Mail that you want to run Multiple Sessions allowing multiple instances, each accessing a different mailbox. Without it you will receive a warning of a conflict (at least the first time, this warning can be disabled) and it won't run.
So you should not be able to run a second instance without the -MS option or overriding the mailbox locked warning.
