<A message must be in new mail folder in order to delete attachments...
Oh, did I forget to tell you that I tested your reply on two different messages, both in the New Mail folder? The 9.5 mb file I moved back into New Mail with embedded .jpgs also sent as attachment, the other, a 4 mb file in which the attachment was a .png file, I hadn't yet moved out of the New Mail. Both retained the embedded .jpg images, in the attachment pane of both, the "removed" attachments reappeared, and the file sizes remained 9.5 and 4 mb respectively. Since then, I've closed down and re-opened PMail more than once and the computer once; though I don't find any menu or button for "refresh" I would think this would result in refreshing the window. Here is the link to a screenshot I made about 20 minutes ago.

FYI, I'm running Win7 and Pmail Version 4.72.572.
