How do I control BCC header content in a reply?

BINGO!!!  Thanks Greenman!

Now to check the configuration of all of the other users in the office.  Mailboxes are all on the server so maybe I can find the appropriate entry in the .ini and check them that way.

Hello friends,

I have a question about the BCC header.  The fact that it is visible in the message reader window is bothersome but I know that can be controlled with a WPM-CHAR.RSC file.  More bothersome is the fact that the entire BCC list is included in the body of a reply that includes the original message headers.  Does anyone know whether excluding display of the BCC header with a WPM-CHAR.RSC file will also exclude inclusion of the BCC header in a reply that includes original headers?

If you used a DList (either for To:, Cc: or Bcc: ) then you need to add the “To:” field in the SList settings to hide (other) addresses used

“To field (suppressing the list of recipients): Entering an address in this field will force Pegasus Mail to suppress the listing of all the recipients' addresseses in the To: field when you use the list. Instead of showing every member of the list, the To: field will contain only what you enter here. Because of the way Internet mail works, you cannot simply enter any piece of text in this field -- you must enter something which can be legally processed as if it were an address. We recommend that you use the following format to create the contents of this field:”

As for replies I cant test as I don’t have any posts where the Bcc (list) is visible

I see the BCC header in the reader window of all three of my Pegasus mail installs (local C:, Flash drive, and Network shared).  The BCC header is also visible in the raw view.  All are v4.72.

I wonder if Mercury could have anything to do with this.  The first message and all of my tests since have originated within the office using Mercury SMTP.

Shades, I'm going to send you a PM with a couple of email addresses.  If you're comfortable with sending me a personal email I would appreciate as message sent to one with the other as the BCC.  No bad feelings from me if you choose not to.
