Hi Chris,
From my opinion Pmail (or your Notebook) should not be the one which is responsible for forwarding e-mals to your gmail account because the forwarding process is depending on a running notebook.
I'm taking for granted that you have an ordinary e-mail account with a internet hoster and an additional e-mail account with Google (Gmail). I would login into the internet configuration of your standard mailbox. Every hoster is providing forward functionalities. Here I would adjust a forwarding rule for any incoming mails to your gmail account. Then you will receive all mails also directly on your smartphone without deleting anything on your standard mailbox. And the standard mailbox will be retrieved when starting your notebook.
The disadvantage is, that you have to handle all mails twice, directly at your smartphone via gmail and later on your notebook when starting Pmail.
You could also try to install the Mail App from your ISP on your smartphone. Then you could check, answer, delete mails directly on your smartphone but without downloading them. Means, all mails which you didn't delete remains in the standard mailbox at ISP and will be downloaded by Pmail during next ON time.
I'm using both methods simultaneously [:D] All incoming mails at my ISP are being forwarded to the gmail account of my wife. Simultaneously I will be informed by the ISP App on my own smartphone. So I could sort out mails. All mails which I keep in the mailbox will be downloaded later when I'm on my PC at home.
Cheers
Joerg
