A copy of Pegasus Mail will work The steps will be to do the copy then run the installer which will make the necessary registry entries for full functionality (details below).
As for all of the other folders, nope. Applications will need to be reinstalled. Data (documents, photos, music, videos) can be copied. Some application data, like browser profiles, can be copied. The challenge will be figuring out what is safe to copy and what needs to be created from scratch.
To move Pegasus Mail:
- Copy C:\PMAIL from the old HD to C:\PMAIL on the SSD.
- Manually execute WINPM-32.EXE to start Pegasus Mail. This will create a registry entry which will tell the installer where Pegasus Mail is installed.
- Run the Pegasus Mail installer as an upgrade. Use the version appropriate installer if you don't want an upgrade. This will create the shortcuts, allow you to set Pegasus Mail as your default mailer, and create the registry entries needed for SendTo functionality.
