An update of IERenderer (the default HTML renderer) is being prepared which might handle the issues you encounter. Most of them are caused by the extremely chaotic IE (in)compatibilities created and maintained by the Windows creators: They didn't obey to lots of standards in the past resulting in later workarounds which make issues really difficult to track down without lots of trial and error.

I just downloaded the latest PMail onto my brand new laptop. All was going well (I think) for a few days, but suddenly, when I click on various links within an email, nothing happens. For example, "view this email in browser" or "unsubscribe". Well, either nothing happens, or the message body disappears and I get either a blank message body or a little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark top left, with the rest of the message body blank. The only way to get back the message body is to close and re-open the message. Also, trying this link-clicking several times seems to crash PMail.
But this problem of not opening links isn't completely consistent - in some emails, the links *do* open; in others, no links open. I've noticed that for the two different types of emails, the right-click menu is different. For emails where the links don't open, if I right-click in the body of the email, I get this menu:
For emails where the links do open, when I right-click inside the message, I get this menu:
I'm running Windows 7 Professional.
Make sure you click the View button into Fancy mode to be able to click html links. If you run in Text (aka Plain view) you will see but not be able to click these links, or see images.
Hmmmm. I've changed absolutely nothing, as far as I'm aware, and the problem has disappeared. For the very same email where I just got a yellow triangle within the message body when clicking on a link, it now opens the link in my browser. Very weird.

I'm not running in plain text view. The emails are clearly formatted, with items that are supposed to be clickable, such as "View online" or "unsubscribe". When I hover over one of these links, my cursor changes to a pointing hand. But when I click - well, I explained above what happens.
I see my framegrabs didn't come through in my initial query. So what happens is that for the emails where the links don't open a browser window, if I right-click within the message, my options are: Back, Forward, Save background as, Set as Background, Copy background (the last 4 options are greyed out), Select All, Paste (greyed out), Create shortcut, Add to Favourites, View source, Encoding, Print, Print Preview, Refresh, and a few more. For email where I clicking on links does open the link in a browser, my right-click options include: Select All, Copy, Copy selection to D List, Open selection as Hyperlink, Open message in web browser, Show pictures (HTML only) etc etc.
The point is: this is the same session of PMail with the same reader settings. Yet for some emails the links work, and for others, they don't (as described in my initial query). This is really frustrating.
Edit: Immediately after typing this, I went back into PMail, which had remained open, nothing changed, and the links now work!!!!
