can't you start it or does Pegasus not completely open?
In last case I assume you sent a big attachment and/or many recipients. Pegasus freezes, because it takes a while to generate the outgoing mails and send it to mail provider. Seems Pegasus didn't finish sending and on start tries to send again.
Have a look at your mailbox directory, find any file with extension PMX or PMW and perhaps a file PNX with same filename. Move them on closed Pegasus to another directory, then start Pegasus.
If this works, problem solved. I'm not shure if mail was realy sent by Pegasus - perhaps ask the receipient?!
