Finding and opening backed up folders to find messages

You can add a directory to the Pegasus Mail folder list as an added mailbox so doing that with the restored mailbox directory should provide access to all of the restored folders and messages.  You can then copy what want from out of the added mailbox to My mailbox.

One thing to be aware of when copying or moving from an added mailbox is that you can't work at the folder level, you must work at the message level.  Standard Windows functions like select all (Ctrl+A) help to copy in bulk.

Ok, this is a little convoluted. I've been using Pmail since around 1990 and had a "Sent Mail" folder with copies of all the emails I'd sent, since around 2006, which was around 54,000 emails. ( I started a home based business in 2006 and many were client emails )

But it appeared to be slowing down Pmail when I opened the program, and possibly crashing it at times. So I started moving most of it to an archive folder called 2006 to 2016 Archive. The process hung things up badly, where I couldn't use Pmail for hours, and needed to. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I managed to get it done and reindexed ok.

I've also been moving incoming emails to other folders too, so as not to bog down the new mail folder, which appears to happen at about 2500 emails.

Anyway, long story short, I apparently deleted some of my outgoing emails -  the ones for 2017.

The good news is that I use Idrive, and ran a restore to a separate folder on my PC, from where the currently read Pmail emails are. It's about 13GB and I DO NOT want to botch things up by mingling any of those files with my current Pmail folder, which is doing very nicely now.

So the big question becomes; how do I now search for those outgoing 2017 emails in this external folder, and if I can find them, move them to a folder within my regular Pmail set?

Thanks.
