(also, though I won't want to switch back, I noticed that the LIst button was gone and there is no Preview button - how would I go back? But then I found that clicking on Folders shows the Preview button, which goes away and is replaced by the List button if you change to Preview)

I recently updated updated my Pegasus from 4.21 on an old WIN98 system with a dialup modem to version 4.73 on an XP system, which I connect to the Interent through my router/modem just to download email and then disconnect. (someday I might put Pegasus on a newer WIN7 machine)

anyway, the installation and moving of old msgs all went well and everything is working fine.

But I wish I could have the look that I used to have. as I remember, when I opened Pegasus (or when I clicked on Open New Mail Folder), I was looking and my new mail folder in a list form in a full window - WITHOUT the preview box underneath OR the folder listing to the left.

is there some way I can get rid of the preview box and the folder box and just have the list of new msgs take up all that space?

What you used to view in was List mode whereas you are now in Preview mode.  To switch, click the "List" button located in the toolbar of that multi-pane window.  You'll then have the folder list window from which you can open folders in their own window. 

Remember, there are settings that control whether the desktop state is maintained between sessions and affect folder views so you may want to go review all of the configuration options with that in mind.
