Following the help link provided I think your account most likely fell into <a href="https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255">allow less secure apps to access your account</a> class. Try logging in, open settings, and change your account to allow "less secure applications" while Pmail doesn't provide access to OAUTH2 "protocol". You probably got a message from Google alerting you that an "unsafe application" tried to access your account. I have a couple Gmail accounts suffering from this nuisance.
