Printing attachment names

There is a possibility that the sending of an Outlook message to your Pegasus, may have caused Outlook to just pass a reference to the attachment it did not include with the body of the message.I don't have Microsoft Office/Outlook on my PC.

In a similar way when you send a Pegasus Mail message with an attachment, and elect to send that message to your Copyself folder. You won't get a copy of the attachment in that message, it just reminds you that an attachment was sent. the actual attachment would still be on your hard drive, unless you deleted it.

When I print emails, in place of the names of attachments, I get <<...>>. How can attachment names be printed.

You could me a screenshot when this dialog is presented. People who send attachments don't always supply filenames for the attachments. If you can guess the content of the attachment, you should click the Save button and supply a full filename and filetype.

Here's a link to a pdf that illustrates the issue.

Please open the message again for me, and click the Raw View button, which will list the detailed email content.  We can then see what or who inserted the characters that substituted for the filename that was attached (I assume there was an attachment?)  Please then send me the message as a forward (without editing) to irelam17@telus.net.

Larry,

Got the link to the message. Was able to view the whole message. There is absolutely no sign of an attachment document.  The odd characters seem to be markers for possibly an attachment.  The html message content has absolutely no sign of any remote links, either image or file. I suggest if you haven't done so yet, you contact the sender and ask them to send the document by some other means, ie a website.

I don't trust Google Docs or Microsoft Clouds, so unless your company allows you to store documents in the cloud, maybe he/she should put the document in an envelope and add a stamp.....

Thanks for taking a look. Very strange. I sent that email to myself.I may have used Outlook and archive all emails in Pegasus.  The attachment is there in Pegasus. Would using Outlook make a difference to your observations?
