Pegasus exits when sending mail

I've not made any change to Pegasus but suddenly this problem has occurred.


When I click on 'Send all queued mail' it thinks about it for a few seconds 'Preparing mail for sending...' and then the program vanishes from the screen as if I had exited it. The emails are not sent.

The emails are not sent.

So first step to do is to open the queue manager and try sending them message by message to figure out the one causing your problem - which then would have to be investigated in detail.

Good for you, Harvey, I would have been interested to figure out what exactly caused your issue, though, since this would help us to avoid things like this for possible future occurences, so is there any chance you remember how you composed it (or even have another copy of it)?

What we recently had was a "long line issue", i.e. a message unfolded into a line longer than 1024 bytes (the RFC conforming maximum line length for MIME compliant emails) after transport decoding which only caused crashes if no reformat or word wrapping was enabled when replying, but since yours appears to be HTML it might be a different issue.

Had some base64 encoded message that had super long lines that caused issues.


Here is an example of the single line after manually decoded. 4534 characters long??
