Gmail Oauth and multiple identities

I have two email addresses and therefore two identities in Pegasus mail. Those two email addresses are also used in Gmail and for years I have been happily downloading from Gmail into Pegasus to deal with the mail and file it there.

But when I changed my email password on Gmail, it all stopped working. So I downloaded the new version 4.81 of Pegasus and found the handy Gmail button. This worked beautifully on one of my identities, I can download, send mail etc no problem. But the other one just does not work. This second identity appears to be missing the [Pegasus Mail for Windows - built in TCP/IP Mail] at the beginning of the PMAIL settings file for the specific identity.

The whole process wasn't helped by the fact that I seemed to have two copies of PMAIL, one in the C:/PMAIL directory (and this now holds the latest version of Pegasus), and one in the C:/PMAIL/Programs directory (which seems to have last been updated in 201smile.

So I would like to delete the old version of Pegasus in the Programs directory but I am nervous of losing settings. But also should I reinstall Pegasus as multi-user somehow?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Starting with your question about the two installations, please start Pegasus Mail then to it Help menu, select the "About Pegasus Mail..." option, then click the "Info..." button. Copy the entire content of the resulting display and paste it into a reply. It will not contain anything personal but will provide us with details about the running installation.

Regarding GMail, OAUTH, and identities. The GMail button will set up OAUTH2 credentialling to one Gmail account AND will only work for the active identity at the time you pressed the button. It is important that, when you use the button, you specify the GMail account associated with that identity.

That said, I have not seen an instance of someone setting up two GMail accounts for OAUTH2 authentication so, based on how I understand this all works, my best guess is that you would use the GMail button twice, once as each identity specifying its associated GMail address. I would be inclined to not mess with this until the installation issue is sorted out
