Does anyone know if Pegasus will run on a computer with the Snapdragon X processor, instead of intel? (I'm looking for the lightest, reliable tablet, 12", that will run non-microsoft Windows programs--so far the best, as well as cheapest, I can find is the MS Surface, which is now AI-centric.)

This article indicates that the answer is Yes however I suggest doing more research to confirm the running a 32-bit Windows program on an ARM processor. Perhaps we have a forum member who is doing it and can provide a definitive answer.

I don't understand the technicalities, but I take it that the answer is "no."

Pegasus Mail is x86 software, not ARM32.

Here's what MS says about emulation of x86 software on ARM dated 06/18/2024:

Windows 11 on Arm supports emulation of both x86 and x64 apps and performance has been enhanced with the introduction of the new emulator Prism in Windows 11 24H2. Windows 10 on Arm also supports emulation, but only for x86 apps.

It sounds like I should wait and see what more people report from actual experience (I had been hoping to do this before a short trip next month)--or else go for the Profile Pro for Business, which has an Intel processor (and costs more), and an overlay of Business oriented cloud security features that look like they are more likely to add problems, since they are of no use to me. I have a number of non-MS programs (FineReader, FinePrint, DejaVu CRM, and above all, Nota Bene word processor/bibliography manager [XyWrite derived] and Pegasus [with files accumulated since DOS]), and who knows where the sub-program or driver that won't work is hidden. Also, it seems to be early in this round of new chips, and maybe more machines for Win 11 will arrive.

What happens when you tried to run/install Pegasus on the machine.
Which version of OS are you running exactly.
From what I've seen, it appears to be an ARM cpu, so might be an issue the the emulator they are using. I have run Pegasus for many years using the WINE on linux machines with Intel and AMD processors with no problems (Exception is that something in WINE doesn't support the IERender, so it must be uninstalled) But otherwise it works well. Also, remove the Bearhtml, since newer TER32.DLL and HTS32.DLL seem to handle things well for me emails.

Does it give an error when install, or error when running.
As noted, Pegasus is a 32bit program.

My one machine is a DELL Lattitude 5580 with 32G ram and i7 CPU with 4 cores 8 threads.
Got on EBay for $180 (only had 16G ram, and upgraded ram and disk to 1TB from 512G)
