I checked the Event Viewer, Window Logs, but I couldn't find the Microsoft Windows TCP/IP folder.
The TCPLogs folder isn't a system folder, it's a subdirectory in the Pegasus Mail mailbox directory of your current Pegasus Mail user: To figure out its path in Pegasus Mail goto its main menu`s Help menu and select About Pegasus Mail .... In the upcoming dialog click the Info button a its bottom which will display lots of Pegasus Mail's configration data including its New mailbox location and Home mailbox location which are identical in most cases unless you changed the latter via Pegasus Mail's configuration in the past. The TCPLogs directory should be a subdir of one of these. From thereon follow Brian's instructions about (re)viewing its contents.
I don't think that the E-mail address, User ID, or Password are causing the connectivity problem.
The log file will not only show the above but also the exact negotiation details of Pegasus Mail with the respective remote server for sending (SMTP) or retrieving (POP3) or IMAP, but also any error messages and codes returned by these servers. That's why it will help in diagnosing Pegasus Mail's issues with your ISP.
On the flip side, I downloaded G-mail, Frontier, Yahoo emails with no problems, worked on the first attempt, and I wasn't asked to name the incoming/outgoing e-mail servers, so probably that's why.
They are doing this "automatically" only because of maintaining lists of all those ISP server names and ports most people are using, that's simply something Pegasus Mail cannot provide due to lack of staff and resources for providing such a service.
So, sadly I'm giving up on Pegasus e-mail.
There's no need to do so if helping us to understand the issues you have.
