Global Whitelist Location

Can somebody tell me where the Global Whitelist is located within Pegasus Mail, please?

I am aware I can see it by going to Tools/ Spam and content controls/Global whitelist, but I would like to be able to create a shortcut for it on my desk top, like I have done for the Black list at C:\PMAIL\MAIL\ADMIN\black.pml.

Thanks for any help,

Chris

Believe that is WHITE.PML
I also have a file WHITE-M.PM, but not sure what that is?

On my system only this one is populated, any other ones are blank.

I'm now confused after looking into this a little more.

Found this page??
https://www.vandenbogaerde.net/pegasusmail/pf_gwl_index.html

Talks about the white-m.pm file.

I also looked at my WHITE* files.

The WHITE.PML hasn't been updated for 4+ year, but WHITE-M.PM has been updated today. Check a test setup, that I use just to look at, and it has neither WHITE file or the BLACK.PML.

So, maybe at some point there were changes in the WHITE.PML, BLACK.PML, and now WHITE-M.PM?

So, perhaps someone can find out more. The link only seems to talk about the WHITE-M.PM file??

It's WHITE.PM. WHITE.PML is the whitelist for content control. BLACK.PML is its counterpart. Neither of my installations have a WHITE-M.PM file so I'm clueless about it.

I have no installation with WHITE.PM?? All have WHITE-M.PM?

Have another test install setup in 2024, and it has none of the files.
No Black.pml or White.pml or white-M.pm?? But it was just an install with just default admin mail directory. Never did setup procress or opened any test emails other than a test amazon message that would cause crash if IERenderer was used to open.

So, not clear what causes the creation or updating of the Black.pml, white.pml and white-M.pm file (or why someone else would get a White.pm file instead of white-M.pm. Is that usiing PB3 or one of the later setups?

I suspect that "black" and "white" are created by content control when you first use a testing set since you can assign them different names within the configuration of the set.

Does white-m.pm contain a list of email addresses?
If you add an email address to the global whitelist does it get added to white-m.pm?
Was Mercury ever involved? (re: the option in to make the whitelist visible for Mercury..."M" for Mercury?)

The way I see it, both are blacklists and whitelists. Those with a "-M" are for Mercury use. I was looking after more information at Han's website and found this page: https://www.vandenbogaerde.net/pegasusmail/pf_gwl_index.html

I don't have the white-m, nor the black-m files here as I never used Mercury. Also, white.pml and black.pml are used by Pmail Content Control, another feature I've never used. Anyway, I believe a simple "look at" the function may create these files.

For those willing to check Han's pages I started here: https://www.vandenbogaerde.net/han_lkfr.htm

I think I might have just confirmed that after finding WHITE-M.PML files in backups of mailboxes from my work days. They would have had their global whitelist configured to be visible for Mercury. I don't remember doing it manually so I suspect it happened automagically as part of adding a new user to Pegasus Mail/Mercury.
