A short update this time, with one key point: Pegasus Mail v4.91 has now been released.
Some people may be a little disappointed at how little the program might appear to have changed since the v4.81 public beta with GMail OAUTH2 support, but internally a lot has happened - nearly 100,000 lines of code changes. The Pegasus Mail code base (the stuff I write that gets turned into the program when it gets compiled) has been around for more than thirty years, and for some time has been in need of quite a lot of modernization, a process that has been complicated by the succession of Windows versions and sub-versions that there has been in recent years. The current codebase is now much more up-to-date, in particular when it comes to installation, and this should make it easier to add new capabilities going forward.
You can get Pegasus Mail v4.91 from the official downloads page, at: https://www.pmail.com/downloads.htm
Please bear with us if downloads take a bit longer than you might expect - as I've discussed in other updates, we have been forced to relocate our web pages to our home site, and even though we have a quite fast link, we're across the other side of the world from many of you, so latency is an ongoing issue.
Attention now moves to getting Mercury v4.92 out - I have one issue to resolve (a memory leak), then it will be straight to a short beta period, followed by a full release.
That's all for now - see you again next month.
Cheers!
