It appears as if the printer driver was the issue. I had recently installed a network printer driver as my default. I changed my default printer to another printer and the problem is resolved.

I have been using

Pegasus Mail for years. I am currently running v4.41. I recently had an

issue (power supply) with my laptop that I run it on. I migrated  the

data to a desktop computer and ran it from there with no problems until

my laptop issue was resolved. When I migrated the data back to the

laptop, I started having some weird issues.

Mail receives with

no problem, but it has a lagged send process and when I click on

messages (old or new), it will sometimes take pegasus mail a long time

to open the message. Other times, the message opens up immediately.

Usually if a message opens up immediately, it will always open

immediately. If it opens slowly (10-15 seconds) for a small message, it

will always open slowly.

 I tried as suggested in a previous post to turn off the Read Only attribute. This didn't fix the problem.
 

Any ideas as to what might be going on here?

Delays when opening messages often have to do with the printer selection (the TER edit control used to display messages uses the selected printer-driver to format the message.  Try printing one message and see if the problem goes away.
