No sound with PMail?

I presume you know about using Tools->Options->Incoming Mail->Content Viewers to set up helper applications that will be used if you choose to Open an attachment in Pegasus, if you set up the appropriate media player for each sound file type it should be possible to play them directly from the attachments page.   Always of course noting the security issue and not playing attachments if you do not know where they are from.

I hear no sound or music with emails that I receive that are supposed to have music or sound files attached.  Does not PMail support such files?

Attachments remain passive as part of the original message until you do something with them.  There is no automatic Open/Play/Save of any attachment type. This is a security feature, and is a strong positive for Pegasus Mail. If you recall Microsoft Outlook for a while automatically opened attachments until the virus writers discovered that [:(].

Thanks Martin.  [:)] That was a help.  Went back and looked at some of the emails that were supposed to have sound and found the music files in the attachment folder.
